Real work for a startup social enterprise in the hills of Santa Cruz, Trinidad – fitting in, being humble, slowing down, strategic planning, marketing and PR, some legal analysis, and of course, talk of development finance. My mentor and the head of the Green Impresario, an independent think tank and NGO based in New York City, and her husband launched the San Antonio Green Market on November 24, 2012. It is open on Saturdays from 7 am to 3 pm and it showcases local and organic produce, art work, prepared foods and drinks, yoga classes, and much more. Tomorrow morning we go to market bright and early to build a resilient sustainable community – together. I am very excited to see this manifestation of sustainable production and consumption in action and to know that I have been a part of building resilience in Santa Cruz, Trinidad.
