The principles of sustainable development are being applied to businesses, social enterprises, and nonprofit organizations. The Brundtland Commission’s report defined sustainable development as “development which meets the needs of current generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” To fulfill the policy mandate of sustainable development, companies and civil society are stepping up to find solutions, providing the necessary resources to build resilient communities.
PSC believes that international and domestic development should be sustainable, meaning new green development should utilize natural resources and human resources conscious of environmental effects and with the goal of creating societal and economic benefits. Consumers are demanding green solutions from companies, and there is a global focus on techniques to scale up green technology, green supply chains, and fully engage in sustainability across all dimensions. There are many innovative approaches to engaging in sustainable development or becoming a more sustainable company or organization.
Let us take you through various options and strategies to promote and foster your sustainability.
